Dream about pretending

May the grace of pretending bring rest to your heart. This dream reveals a movement toward concealment as a way to shield the inner life from an external pressure. You seek a stillness like a shadow, hoping that by withdrawing your presence, the forces that press upon you will pass by without harm.

The soul finds a temporary sanctuary in this withdrawal. While the world demands much, you create a space where you are not required to answer or to be seen. There is a gentle power in this hidden state, for it keeps a part of you safe from the reach of what surrounds you. May you find the peace that comes from knowing your true essence is always held in safety.

Pretending to be dead means you hold yourself in complete stillness so that a passing danger might fail to notice you.

The way you choose to hide changes the nature of your sanctuary. Pretending to be pregnant means you shelter a thing that is still forming. When you are pretending to be blind, you move through the world without seeking to understand it, which deepens your retreat. If you are pretending to be asleep, you are simply letting the world pass by while you remain unaware.

Pretending to be someone else shifts the dream toward a change in how you view your own life, as you adopt a different lens to navigate your current circumstances.
