The act of cleaning the floor reveals an intention to tidy its immediate ground and prepare for a new way of being. You find a patient resolve in this effort to restore order to the place where you stand.
By washing a floor, scrubbing the floor, or mopping the floor, you let the water carry away the old grime to leave a foundation of renewed peace.
Polishing a floor makes your devotion more visible, acting like a mirror that lets the brightness of your intention shine clearly before you.
Cleaning a dirty floor or sweeping a dirty floor or mopping a dirty floor shows a struggle with the weight of what has been left untended. This dream carries a warning that things which should have been attended to are still lying in the shadows beneath your feet.
Smearing a floor changes the direction of your effort, as if the very thing you seek to settle is being spread wide in a way that obscures your path.

Wilfred HaleInterpreter interprets your dreams
Peace to your evening, dear soul. A dream is like a lamp left in a window. It shows the shape of the room more than the shape of the night outside. What frightened you in it holds no weight of its own and may be set down at the door. Whatever was good in it can be kept and given thanks for. The rest can be trusted to the morning.
