Wilfred HaleMay the stillness of your heart find rest in this dream of an octopus. This dream speaks of a reach that seeks to bind or to pull, a grasping energy that moves within the spirit. Dear soul, the way your heart reaches for things may be spreading too wide, stretching your peace thin.
The reach pulls you in many ways at once when it loses its center. This movement suggests a life where the threads of your purpose are being stretched or entangled by forces that refuse to let go. You possess the capacity to discern where your energy is being spent. May you find clarity in the center of the movement.
When you find yourself killing an octopus or catching an octopus, you are actively overcoming a tendency to be pulled apart, bringing a necessary order to the reach that once felt unmanageable.
To find yourself saving an octopus turns the meaning toward a desire to preserve a part of your own nature that feels caught in a struggle.
A giant octopus makes the reach of this dream feel overwhelming, as the vastness of the movement suggests an influence that threatens to crowd out your sense of peace.
By eating an octopus, you take this tendency to seize and hold and make it a part of your own vital force.
The octopus attacking arrives as a sudden surge of pressure that disrupts your peace and tests the strength of your center.
An octopus in a house brings this tendency to entangle into the very heart of your domestic stability, showing how an unrestrained pull can touch the most sacred parts of your life.

Wilfred HaleInterpreter interprets your dreams
Peace to your evening, dear soul. A dream is like a lamp left in a window. It shows the shape of the room more than the shape of the night outside. What frightened you in it holds no weight of its own and may be set down at the door. Whatever was good in it can be kept and given thanks for. The rest can be trusted to the morning.
