Wilfred HaleMay the light of a calm spirit rest upon you, dear soul, in the dream of a house flooding. This dream reveals a moment where the boundaries of your inner life are being crossed by forces that feel too large to hold. The stability of your daily world is being met by an outpouring of feeling that threatens the sanctuary you have built for your spirit.
A heavy weight rests in the way these waters rise to meet your private space. This surge of emotion can make the foundations of your life feel uncertain and fragile. You find that the structures meant to protect you are no longer able to contain the depth of what is being felt. Even so, there is a grace in the recognition of this overflow, for it marks a time of great shifting within. May the stillness of the heart guide you through the rising tide.
When rain floods the house, the heart receives a soft washing that makes the spirit new again. Because the descent of water is soft, the disruption to your stability is actually a gentle cleansing of the heart.
A house flooded with sewage water shows that old impurities are rising to the surface. This dream carries a harder verdict, as the presence of such waste suggests that foul words or old grievances are making a mess of your inner order.
An ocean flooding a house expands the scale of the dream to a great destiny. The sheer size of the water transforms the personal struggle into a much larger journey of the soul.

Wilfred HaleInterpreter interprets your dreams
Peace to your evening, dear soul. A dream is like a lamp left in a window. It shows the shape of the room more than the shape of the night outside. What frightened you in it holds no weight of its own and may be set down at the door. Whatever was good in it can be kept and given thanks for. The rest can be trusted to the morning.
