Wilfred HaleMay the stillness of your heart find a way through the suddenness of this dream. A grasshopper moves through the spirit, scattering the work of your hands and breaking the rhythm of what you have built through many small, uncoordinated movements.
The soul experiences this as a season where focus slips away, leaving the hands busy but the purpose unreached. This dream points to a time when the rhythms of your life feel interrupted by things that demand attention but offer no lasting fruit. May you find the patience to hold your center in the midst of the noise.
To find yourself killing a grasshopper or catching grasshoppers is to attempt to master the suddenness that this dream brings. These actions show an effort to seize control over the things that threaten to disperse your energy, yet they often only increase the feeling of being occupied by small, frantic tasks.
Dear soul, the presence of grasshoppers in bed suggests that the unrest of this dream touches the very place where you seek your private peace and union. This intrusion into your rest makes the lack of stability feel more personal and intimate.
The act of buying grasshoppers or eating grasshoppers turns the symbol into something you actively take into your own being. Such a dream suggests that you are perhaps inviting the very instability you fear, absorbing the scattered nature of these things into your own sustenance and will.
When a grasshopper is in the house, the feeling that your efforts are being pulled in too many directions at once moves from the outer world into the inner sanctuary of your household. The sense of a fragmented life becomes a weight upon the stability of your daily existence.

Wilfred HaleInterpreter interprets your dreams
Peace to your evening, dear soul. A dream is like a lamp left in a window. It shows the shape of the room more than the shape of the night outside. What frightened you in it holds no weight of its own and may be set down at the door. Whatever was good in it can be kept and given thanks for. The rest can be trusted to the morning.
